Anita Sengupta is the Founder and CEO of Hydroplane, an aviation technology company which is developing hydrogen fuel cell power plant technology for carbon emission free aviation. She is also a Professor of Astronautical Engineering at the University of Southern California (USC) where she teaches Spacecraft and Entry System design. Previously, Sengupta was Senior Vice President of Systems Engineering at Virgin Hyperloop. She also worked for NASA for 16 years where her engineering projects included developing the ion propulsion system for the Dawn Mission, the supersonic parachute that landed the Curiosity rover on Mars, and the Cold Atom Laboratory, an atomic physics facility onboard the International Space Station. Sengupta holds an MS and PhD from USC.
