Morgan Pope

Director, Companionship, Familiar Machines & Magic

Morgan Pope did his graduate work in a bio-inspired robotics lab at Stanford, where he built robots that climbed, perched, jumped, and flew. He then spent eight years at Walt Disney Imagineering building audio-animatronics that fly, flip, tumble, and roller-skate. His favorite project there was Stuntronics, a project that catapults Spider-Man high in the air above the Disneyland Resort.

He is now Director, Companionship at Familiar Machines & Magic, which is bringing a new character to life at a mass-market scale. Professionally, he aims to work on systems that start with electricity and end with joy.
