Schuyler Cullen is Co-Founder and CEO of Summer Robotics, a software company that has developed a fundamental new approach to robotic visual intelligence, that is powering far more competent robots on the industrial manufacturing line and in all future contexts where robots need to handle uncertain and complex conditions.
Schuyler has made significant contributions to the fields of robotics, visual intelligence and autonomous vehicles. Most recently, he was Vice President of AI and Robotics at Samsung, where he led an elite team of researchers and engineers building Samsung’s state-of-the-art autonomous mobility stack for robots and cars. While at Samsung, he was also a leader in engaging with academic groups, having helped bring industry alliances such as Berkeley BDD and BAIR to life.
Schuyler holds degrees in Mathematics and Physics from Caltech and earned a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Stanford. His academic career includes notable achievements, such as working with Nobel Prize-winning professors and contributing to influential research in particle physics and string theory.
