Craig Salvalaggio is a dynamic leader and the driving force behind the success of Applied Manufacturing Technologies (AMT). Starting at AMT as a robotics software engineer in 2003, Craig worked his way up the ranks to become Vice President of Engineering, Vice President of Operations, Chief Operating Officer, and finally, President as of May of 2023.
In his current role, Craig oversees all aspects of operations, including sales, engineering, and talent management. His extensive technical expertise in automation and robotics, combined with his exceptional leadership abilities, has propelled him to his current role. Having climbed the ladder in all aspects of AMT’s business, Craig possesses a deep understanding of the company’s operations and clients.
With a strategic vision for growth and inclusivity, Craig is dedicated to expanding and diversifying both AMT’s systems and services market segments. Drawing from more than two decades of experience in automation, he brings invaluable knowledge and insights to the company. Beyond his integral role within AMT, Craig assumes an active and influential presence within the Association for Advancing Automation (A3). Serving as a Robotics Tech Sector board member, RIA Membership Committee participant, and co-chair of the RIA Certified Integrator Program Committee reflects Craig’s deep commitment to advancing the field of robotics.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Lake Superior State University, as well as a Master of Science in Operations Management and an MBA from Kettering University. Craig is an expert speaker and panelist on topics such as emerging technologies, culture and talent management, and has authored dozens of publications to further the industry's progression on knowledge sharing and technology advancement.
