Bruce Shields has an extensive background in the design and delivery of application-specific embedded computing systems. He has created a strong portfolio of successful electronic design implementations with developments ranging in complexity and including highly integrated mobile computing platforms, secure mobile payment systems, precise location tracking and complex satellite and terrestrial communication network technologies used by public & commercial field operators.
Shields has dedicated three decades to electronic systems design with the past twenty-plus years focused on location-critical applications. Notable design contributions include the Canada-Wide Differential GPS Service (CDGPS), NYC TLC “NY Yellow Passenger Information Monitor” and the Transport for London “Black Cab” contactless payment initiative.
