With over 10 years of work experience in electrical engineering and robotics, Ben Waters is the CEO and Co-Founder of WiBotic, a company that develops wireless charging solutions for robots of all shapes and sizes. WiBotic’s mission is to enable innovative robotic systems to grow and scale without limitation, while creating a workplace filled with brilliant people who are equally passionate about that vision. Ben has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, where he worked on wireless power technologies for implanted devices.
At WiBotic, Ben leads a team of engineers, designers, and business developers who are dedicated to solving the challenges of powering autonomous robots. They have created a highly flexible wireless charging platform that can charge mobile robots, medical carts, floor cleaning scrubbers, space infrastructure and underwater vehicles, regardless of their battery type, size, or shape. The WiBotic platform has been used by customers across various industries, such as e-commerce, manufacturing, agriculture, defense, security, and logistics, to improve the efficiency, reliability, and safety of their robotic operations. Some of their achievements include securing multiple patents, winning the PSBJ 40 under 40 award, and raising over $9 million in funding. Ben uses his skills in LabVIEW, circuit design, and robotics to oversee the product development, research, and innovation aspects of WiBotic.
