What to See & Do
Explore Boston!
Known for everything from the Tea Party and Cheers to the Red Sox and clam chowder, Boston has something to offer everyone. This largest city in New England is considered the economic and cultural center of the region, so there is much to see and do.
The Hynes Convention Center is conveniently located on the public transportation system (commonly referred to as “the T”) and within walking distance of many major attractions, including:
- Boston Public Library: The largest municipal library in the country, the Boston Public Library was also the first public library to allow books to be taken home. Just a couple of blocks from the convention center, this building is an architectural marvel. Walk down Boylston Street toward Copley Square to visit this local attraction.
- Symphony Hall: This home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra is just around the corner on Massachusetts Avenue, about a 10-minute walk from the convention center. For more information or to catch a performance when you’re in town, click here.
- Fenway Park: With the Red Sox out of town during RoboBusiness, take advantage of a rare opportunity to take a tour of the oldest Major League ballpark in the United States. More info…
- Copley Square: An outdoor public square, Copley is adjacent to the Boston Public Library and the Boston Marathon finish line. This area is known for its upscale restaurants and stores.
Additional attractions that are a bit farther from the convention center include:
- Museum of Science: Just across the river in Cambridge sits this hands-on museum that has something for everyone. More info…
- Institute of Contemporary Art: Featuring cutting edge, contemporary art in many forms, this museum’s new location just opened a couple of years ago. More info…
- Aquarium: One of the most prominent and popular public aquariums in the United States, the New England Aquarium sits on the waterfront and offers an IMAX theater in addition to Whale Watch tours. More info…
- Harvard University: The oldest institute for higher education in the country, Harvard is one of the most prestigious universities and alma mater to many notable alumni. The campus is located in Cambridge, MA accessible by public transportation.
