Giant Eagle implemented Seegrid robotic pallet trucks in 2009 to automate their PutAway process. With more than 2,000 pallets received per week at each of the company’s support centers, Giant Eagle was searching for a way to drive costs down. When Giant Eagle looked at their value-added processes and those did not bring value, they searched for a solution that would eliminate non-value-added manned travel within a warehouse.
